Support

Need help with HILIA — on the web, or in the Android, iOS, iPad or Mac apps? You are in the right place.

Contact us

Email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you, normally within 2 business days.

To help us help you faster, please include:

  • which platform you are using (website, Android, iOS/iPad, or Mac);
  • the app version (shown in the app's settings) if you are using an app;
  • what you were trying to do, and what happened instead.

You can also reach TYO Lab through the contact page on our main site.

Common questions

Is HILIA free? The core tools are free to use. Watermarking on the website uses a small amount of "gas" (credits) per operation; steganography in the apps runs entirely on your device. See Accounts, gas & billing for details.

Do you keep my images? No. Images are processed for the operation you asked for and are not kept. Steganography in the apps never leaves your device. See our Privacy policy.

I hid a file in an image but can't reveal it. What's wrong? The most common causes are: the image was recompressed or resized after hiding (social media and messaging apps often do this — share the file as a document/original file instead), or the passcode doesn't match. See Troubleshooting.

How do I recover a lost passcode? We can't. Passcodes are never sent to us or stored anywhere, so there is no way to recover data hidden behind a passcode you have lost. See Passcodes & security.

Where can I learn how everything works? The documentation covers every feature — hiding and revealing, covert and visible watermarks, the Android app, the API, and a full FAQ.

How to delete your account

If you created a TYO ID account to use HILIA, you can delete it at any time:

  • In the apps: open the Me tab and choose Delete account. This removes your account and the data held under it.
  • By email: send a request to [email protected] from the email address on the account, and we will delete the account and its data.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in, any remaining credits, and any leaderboard entries. Images are never stored, so there is no image data to delete. Uninstalling an app removes all local app data (vault, settings, saved sign-in) from your device. More detail is in the Privacy policy.
